Our society has become a throw-a-way society. Everyday we are sold by the media to make life easy and more comfortable for ourselves.
Media says to us that women need a career, so do anything you have to do to make that happen. Even if you have to abort a baby to make it happen, its your body. They do not tell you that you may suffer depression, death, or maybe never be able to have children in the future, just do it.
Evil on t.v. teaches our children that lies, sex before marriage, immodest dress, foul language, disrespect for authority, gluttony, drunkeness, rudeness and much more are many other sins are all ok. Our children are being wounded by divorce, abandonment, stress, over indulgence, verbal abuse, physical abuse, under supervised, spiritually absent, and it is all said to be acceptable.
Wounds from our decisions during youth can affect our whole life and our children’s lives. Wounded children have much pain in adulthood. Parents who do not want to grow up and only care about themselves, cause pain for their children. Parenthood is a grave responsibility and no one seems to get it right. How can they with all the outside interference? Scripture warns us about the sins of the flesh but there too many influences that contradict and confuse those without faith. Yet that is all we see on the media because it sells. Galatians 5: 19 – 21 “Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.”
Selfishly we spend our lives doing everything our own way. Some of us finally realize we do not know what is best for us. God is trying to show us what true happiness is, not take away our fun. We choose to misconstrue this happiness as carefree fun living.
When we come to realize that believing Jesus is the answer to our problems. We find out how important it is to surrender to God’s will in our lives, and even then we fall because of the flesh. Trying to be a moral responsible adult saves us from many wounds. No one is perfect, just forgiven.
